This carrier is well made but the measurements and weight reference is misleading. The measurents are for the outside of the carrier including the wheels and sides (that expand somewhat but not enough to make a difference)not the interior of the carrier. The top is much narrower than the bottom. My dog weighs 8 1/2#s and just fit into the carrier, her head almost touched the top of the carrier in a sitting position.. I returned it and am waiting for the larger Traveller Plus to arrive hoping that will give her head room. The carrier might be able to handle the weight of a 25# dog but a 25# surely wouldn’t fit comfortably in it. To use as a backback for any hiking I will need to add more padding between the carrier and myself. The product seems to be well made.

This product has exceeded my expectations. I am concerneed, however, because the handle on it wobbles a bit too much for me to feel 100% confident.

It works great as a car booster seat but not as an airplane under seat carry on. It is too tall to go under the seat and if you lay it down not only is there not a lot of room for the pet but the base with the wheels doesn’t fit. We bought another carrier for under the seat for our return flight and used the pet gear as extra carry on but it wouldn’t fit in the over head either. I will continue to use it in the car but never again on a plane. I’m disappointed.

A bit smaller than I expected. My dog is between 16-18lbs Coton and he barely fits comfortably in the backpack… we mainly use it for short flights. I think my dog’s breed is a bit stocky for their weight, as opposed to a Bichon at the same weight so take that into account when picking out which size…

Very sturdy, kinda awkward to put together (strange flap in the main compartment that took a bit to figure out what to do with). To keep its shape, I store it with a popcorn tin inside.

The dimensions on the website are INTERIOR bag dimensions not exterior bag dimensions. It’s a cool bag- but won’t fit under most airline seats- unlike manufacturer’s claims. Typically- 11″ is about the maximum clear space (height) under the airline seats. Anything higher than that, has to be flexible so it can be shoved under the seat.
